ELEVATE YOURSELF
Zen Yoga Garage is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance for 200 hour Training (RYS200), and the program has been running since October 2013.
As students learning more about yoga on the path to possibly become a teacher, we can offer you our knowledge; simple breakdowns where it makes it easier to digest, and our in depth analysis where it's important. Our program is touted as one of the most well-rounded in Chicago.
While we emphasize Vinyasa style, we will introduce several different styles of yoga and offer you awesome opportunities to try teaching in real world environments. You will be introduced to Kids Yoga, leading Meditation, given a breakdown of Ashtanga, Yin, Pranayama and so much more! We try to help you find your unique voice rather than give you a script. Exposure to different viewpoints, schools of thought, and styles helps to get you there.We are so proud of our graduates. They teach all over Chicagoland and at the most prestigious studios in the city. The word is out and our program has garnered a great reputation. We would love you to come and be a part of it!

OUR TEACHERS
We utilize the strengths of our very best teachers to lead you in the moment. They bring their own voice to the material and present it as they see fit. Their input into what they provide comes from their own passion and their own perspective, which keeps it fresh and exciting for you as students. And between all of us, you will not find more real hands on experience and actual teaching time in all different scenarios.

OUR DIFFERENCE
What sets us apart?
You will not learn a set sequence in this training.
Rather than have you memorize a script, we are teaching you to "think" about sequencing. We will give you a basic framework so that you are successful, but we want you to tap into your own creative spirit and learn the whys behind the choices we make.
We will provide you with more information rather than less.
One of our most popular aspects of the program are the Intros to styles of yoga. While our focus will mainly be Vinyasa, you will learn about many other styles including Iyengar, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Hot, and Kids Yoga. Learning about other styles gives you a more comprehensive approach.
You will actually teach a class together on your final graduation day.
You and your fellow teacher trainers will create a sequence to co-teach on your graduation day!

***It is possible to complete your 200 hour requirement with dedicated study during your 12 weeks, but the journey is yours! You may take unlimited classes during your time in teacher training, but are welcome to join us as a member, or for drop in classes once your time has finished to complete your required contact hours. We will start counting your 200 hours from the time you register***
